I have spark and the truck is trying to turn over but I don't seem to be
getting any fuel out of my injecters. I just replaced the fuel filter and
that didn't do any thing. My next step in checking the ecm and the fuel
relay and fuel fuse but where the heck are the little buggers. I can't
find them anywhere. Also any Idea's on this truck would be greatly
appreciated. I was driving my friend home and went to push on the gas and
when I did it just died and I know I wasn't out of fuel because just that
night I had filled the tank. If it is the fuel pump please can somebody
tell me how to install a new one. It is in tank and electrical I believe. |
It's probably the fuel pump. Mine went at 10 years, 100K. You should be
able to hear it run for 2 seconds after you turn the key to "on". Or longer
if you connect 12V to the fuel pump test terminal (gray wire under the hood
not connected to anything).
I had to buy a shop manual to find the locations of the fuel pump relay,
wires, etc.
To install a fuel pump you need to drop the tank. It's a lot of work but
must be done.
