Default Glummer H2 - 10-22-2005 , 05:42 PM

http://enough_already.tripod.com/glummer_h2.jpg

Some may call it a convenient scapegoat but this vehicle embodies
everything that's wrong with American culture and "conserv"ative
rationales for waste. With their typically spotless paint and waxed
tires it's clear most civilian Hummers aren't bought for utility. They
tend to be conveyances for ego and false pride.

The few who might consistently need one for large, enclosed loads on
extreme terrain are rare. At nearly seven feet wide they can be
dangerous on narrow or brushy trails, and don't scratch that paint!

Few people would respect a town thief who kept taking more than his
share of water from the public well. Getting 11 MPG in what amounts to
a passenger car is still legal, but wasting oil is even worse than
wasting water, since water can eventually be recycled. Even if you
think you can afford $100 per tank of gas, you're on weak moral ground
defending such gluttony.

Remember what happened to "Let them eat cake" Marie Antoinette. When
the shit hits the fan, it's people like you who get their heads lopped
off. And with regard to oil supplies, the shit WILL hit the fan.

..
..
There's one in the parking lot here at work. The guy either parks it
(illegally) in one of the handicap spots out front, or on the side
blocking a loading dock.

Guess what kind of bumper sticker is on this small-wiener-Hummer?.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, your types have been whining for years about "just
you wait..." Guess what, Ive been waiting, nothing is happening... I
think its all a bunch of crap designed to make you feel better about
driving around in a fuel efficient tin can.

BTW... not a big Hummer fan by any means, the tire cover on the back of
my Rover reads "Hummer recovery vehicle". However the point is that
there are much worse offenders, what about the old ford pick up that
get 3-4 miles to the gallon and belches smoke. Would you rather see
more of those?? Maybe some more of those nice smoke puffing diesels??
Those are always fun. Or maybe, better yet, we should all drive 35 mph
in a fuel efficient POS. I will continue to drive in a manner that is
not fuel efficient, drive off road through trees and over live
vegetation.

And does anyone else ever notice that the last comeback line any
dipshit comes up with about a big truck is "gee, he must have a small
wiener..." Maybe everyone who hates these big trucks are all gay and
all they can think about it is the dick of the driver....

Of course, another cross-posting (cross-dressing too perhaps?) troll.

Sorry, I'm not a real H2 fan. Seems to be the rage though with the
"bling bling" crowd. (Oh, and most of them wouldn't vote
conservative/Republican if it was the only choice on the ballot.)
I'll keep my 12 mpg Super Duty Ford and drive it as needed and on my
terms. My overall "footprint" on this planet is less than most of
those screaming about my vehicle choices and I have no trouble
sleeping at night.

Yup! Pretty impossible to tow a 6000 lb trailer/boat with an
electric or hybrid SUV unless you chain four or five of them
together to do the pulling. Pretty difficult to drive an electric
or hybrid vehicle in 8+ inches of snow unless one waits for the
streets to be plowed with diesel snow plows. So who cares if the
off-road trails I choose when I go hunting are just a tad over 7'
wide.

We each have our reasons for driving the vehicles we drive. For
us, one reason is not letting a snowstorm abort the arrival of an
ambulance as my child stops breathing from seizures -- hence
driving directly to the hospital as the wife administers CPR in
the WIDE rear seat of our WIDE 4x4 SUV.

These sicko self-righteous MoFos can fantasize about our penises
as much as they want -- it is a free country after all. Just
leave our shiny SUVs with glossy tires alone.

Had a Jeep'er ask once "Isn't it too wide for the trails?"

Response: "Only the first time!"
