Default 94 S 10 Blazer Brakes - 10-06-2005 , 07:51 PM

I just had my front and rear brakes done and immediately as I was leaving
I could feel the brakes rubbing. Went back to the shop and he double
checked brakes everthing looked good to him and adjuster pins were all the
in but the back brake was rubbing. I drove it that way and wore it down to
the point were it doesn't get smoke but when I back into the driveway I
can hear it squealling and rubbing. Then when I leave in the morning it is
rubbing for a little but after a while it feels okay until I get home and
back into the driveway again..Any advice out there, and yes I'm going back
to that shop to have hime look at it but he can't get me in for a week and
I have heavy driving to do now.

your wheel cylinder is is not releasing causing this to keep the brakes
engaged they need replacing it will fix the rubbing

As it turns out only 1 side in the back had any heat near the brakes
after driving so I took that wheel off and backed the adjuster pin all the
way back. After doing that everything worked fine. Now, it may adjust
itself back to tight or it may not but at least now I know I would just
have to replace the adjusting pin kit. Thnx for the response, as any help
is always appreciated.

May simply be too thick pads. Or it could be worse like your caliper
pistons sticking which makes heavy driving a really really bad idea.
If you insist on driving with questionable brakes, please be courteous
and post your vehicle description and where you'll be driving so we
avoid being killed or injured by you.
