I have a Silverado with 5.7 and am having a problem with a huge leak,
it pours out the back somewhere with it running off the starter. Has
anyone had a problem like this? Thanks for any help.

Pretty common on Vortec 350's. GM used a cheap plastic gasket that
crack or shrinks with age and the leak starts. Usually it leaks in the
back like yours. DO NOT use a GM replacement gasket, use a after
market one that is not made out of plastic.
