Default Harmonic Balancer for wrangler - 04-25-2007 , 03:14 PM

Having trouble finding this part. Any help appreciated.

1990 Wrangler, 6cyl, 4.2, a/c, automatic, serpantine belt.

Harmonic Balancer. Everyone seems to have the one for the 4cyl or for the
6cyl 4.0, but not mine.

THANKS

One for a CJ7 4.2 will work also as they have the same engine. I think
from 78 up to 86 at least are the same.

The same thing happens if you want a decent maintenance manual, the
Haynes CJ manual is way better for your engine and wiring than the YJ
manual.

He has serpentine belt though, so 81 CJ 4.2 wont fit, they may have
changed it with your 86 though.

Is the balancer part of the pulley? I thought they bolted together?

They did put serpentine belts on some CJ's which is why you have to
watch you get the correct waterpump which is a reverse rotation one for
the serpentine.
