Default low oil pressure?? - 08-12-2006 , 10:05 AM






i have recently bought a 96 calibra turbo, i have left it stood for 4 weeks,
when i left it the car had good oil pressure (4-5 bar on start up and 2-3 on
warm idle) but now i have started it and guage reads over 5 bar but the oil
light is on? it goes out with a rev but comes back on at idle. help!!!

Do a manual pressure check with a gage, you may have a bad sending
unit.

I would start by cleaning the connection on the sending unit.
