Awhile back the front left turn signal in my 1989 Jeep Cherokee stop
working. Their were 2 ways I could tell it wasn't working 1) If I engaged
the left turn signal the dashboard light would come on but it wouldn't
blink
and 2) The dashboard light stayed lit up whenever the headlights were on.
At
first I thought it might just be the bulb so I replaced it but the problem
still persistented. Then I thought it might be the flasher but I dismissed
that idea because the right turn signal worked fine and I thought that if
the flasher was bad both turn signals would have a problem.

Since I'm to lazy to get a voltmeter and try and fix the problem I
took
my Jeep to the shop. When I picked it up from the shop they told me the
only
thing that was wrong was the flasher. The turn signal now works properly
but
the left turn signal dashboard light stay lit up when the headlights are
on
(but the turn signal works fine). Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Listen to David Ward & clean ground areas on BOTH front & rear bulbs.
HTH & good luck, sdlomi
