I am told that in a Grand Wag transmission, the driving beltscan be tightened. is this hogwash? Molesworth |

They did cheap out and go chain drive on the newer transfer cases though. No way to tighten them... Same for the old quadratrac full time 4x4, it has a chain too. |

A belt drive transmission in a Jeep??? LOL! Ya right.... They did cheap out and go chain drive on the newer transfer cases though. No way to tighten them... Same for the old quadratrac full time 4x4, it has a chain too. You can with good conscience slap that person up side the head and charge them with fraud if a shop. |

No, not the transfer case - the auto gearbox. He said that the pan could be dropped and the bands tightened. This is an 86 Grand Wag with quadratrac. |
