2003 Silverado, 4.3, runs good, no check eng, light, pinging sound coming
from, catalyst converter,bad o2 sensor or what,

How many miles are on it? Is your pinging sound similar to a marble in a
tin can or more of a loose piece of metal or hanger viberating?

It has 55k, miles , sounds like a rock in a tin can, if i tap on the
converter with a small hammer, it go`s away for awhile,but starts back up
every time i start the truck,
