Default 350 Motor - 08-14-2005 , 09:20 PM






I have a 85 Blazer with a 305 in it,, If I dropped a 350 in it will all the
computer stuff work ??? I would be switching intakes and carb's... Thanks
for any help!!!

Yea I think so...... but I think you'll need an ECM and PROM for a
350 engine to get the most out of it.

Get a carb from a 350 of a similar year. You might also need exhaust
manifolds from a 350 if the 305 has 'over-hand' manifolds because the right
side usually has the rear most bolt in a different location. The rest should
work.

Why would the computer even matter in the 85 if it wasnt fuel injected or
electronic choke.

well it would not....the writer said "computer stuff" so I assume it
has an ECM.

If the truck is not computer controlled then one assumes there is no
computer invovled.........
