93 standard transmission

I have a 93 1 ton gm 4x4 with a 5 speed standard transmission. It
grinds when I put it in 2nd or reverse. There isn't much travel on the
clutch peddle so is this a transmission problem or a cluth problem? It
goes into all other gears smoothly.

Check the Fluid in it.
