hard to get parts at the wreckers for em.. if you don't mind buying new when
it breaks.. they are not bad.

I have a 94 I use as a daily driver just to save the gas (28mpg) my 2500HD
would use. Lots of fun. These were built for much more off road use than
most vehicles. If you ever owned or have drivin a wrangler the tracker is
similar. Body on Frame, stiff suspension, lots of wind noise. The
convertable is OK. The front section opens nice but removale of the entire
top is combersom. You seem to be going faster than you are and I wouldn't
want to travel freeway speeds for much of a distance and never more than
75mph. These really shine off road and on narrow trails. They will go just
about anywhere. Mine has the manual hubs and when I get another I will want
the auto hubs. 18" of virgin snow a few weeks ago slowed it down some but I
was able to keep moving.
New parts are readly available and not all that pricy. I will just by
another vehicle if I need anything major. That is the main reason I like
these so much. They are the cheapest 4x4 you can get. I gave $1300 to the
original owner with 81K on the odometer. I have had it a year. Put a new top
on it and replaced the front pads. Bent something in the front end when I
slid off a trail into a creek. It still drives stright just the steering
wheel is crooked so I just pulled off the wheel and put it back on stright.
The gas tank leaks if I put over 1/2 tank in it. I will drive it for another
2 months and just buy another.
