Quote:
Well, the story from Allams so far is that it needs a new cam cover gasket
(£85.42 fitted).

To be continued.......

As promised, the next "thrilling" chapter in the on-going saga of the sick
156 :

Today (28th October) I finally got a call from Allams (who've had the car
since 15th October) :

In Summary :

"We've done the cam cover gasket, it's still running rough etc. etc. - Do
you want to take it away as is ? How about taking it back to your
independent ? "

!!!!! (words fail me)

Anyway, after a bit of discussion, they're going to investigate further (MAF
, lambda etc.)

To be continued .....

PS Am I being totally naive in thinking that an Alfa main dealer ought to be
able to diagnose the problem / ought to be able to fix the problem / ought
to want to send the customer away happy ??

PPS I sense a change of marque coming on.

I'd be thinking about not paying them until they explain exactly why
they change the gasket TBH.
