Congrats!

I loved the 145 QV engine. For a four pot, makes a lovely noise. By the time
it got fitted to the 156, they had ruined it :-(

IMHO, they hadn't.

What they did do, though, is apply some soundproofing to the 156....

Dunno about that. I think it needs a different exhaust.

Anyway, it's SWMBO's car, so she can pay for it.

Anyone for a 156?

Maybe wrong choice of words!

They had quietened the induction and exhaust down so that it complied with
Brussels! Yes, they added too much sound insulation too! But obviously
forgot to fit it to the GT!

The extra weight of the 156 didn't help either..... Not that the 2.0 156 is
a bad car... just that the engine in the 145 was a peach!

YMMV!

I love the 145 CL and 146 Ti, but I found them just a bit too mental for
a daily driver, hence buying the 156.

I'm getting old.....
LOL! I'm heading for a mid life crisis! I'm driving a DIESEL!

I can relate to that, but it's not y daily driver. I'm getting a V6 as
my weekly driver
