Are you migrating from F1 2k2 to F1 C or the other way around. Each
requires a slightly different tweek I think.
Maybe the F1 2k2 tracks will drop right into F1 C but the C tracks need
either a mas file from C or some mts files.
Best bet I would think would be to wait for the guys who know what they are
doing and let them convert the tracks for us....works for me....

The reason I was wondering, is because I love the US tracks like Laguna
Seca, Watkins Glen, Sears Point, Elkhart Lake, etc..

A few of these are available for F12002.

Download the online racing portal F1RST2....it does it auto.

Actually no, F1 2002 tracks do not work in F1C without some conversion. If
you got the tracks through F1RST2 then somebody already did the conversion
for you. That is probably the easiest way to get them though and it ensures
some compatibility with what other people have online. The point being if
you can't find an F1 2002 track in F1RST2 then you will have to convert it
yourself, they won't work without some editing.

As Aidee said, best thing is to download them through F1RST2. I don't race
online much though so I have just been converting them myself. There is a
tutorial here:

bit overly complicated but it shows you the main steps. Read that first so
that you understand what is required and then I will tell you the cheap and
easy way:

1) Put all the F1 2002 track files in a separate folder underneath the
"circuits" folder in F1C. You do not need to create separate season folders
unless you are going to create different graphics or different season data
for each season.
2) Find the .scn file, open it in a text editor, and change the search paths
to match F1C's directory structure. You can ignore the lines that are
commented out (they begin with "//"). There are only a few lines near the
top of the file, you don't have to search through the whole thing.
3) Copy one of the .gdb files from a similar track and add it to the folder.
You will need to edit almost every line in this file. Open it in a text
editor and change the "Filter Properties" to "1999 2000 2001 2002" if you
want it to show up in all seasons. Change the "event name" etc. to
appropriate text. You can simply leave out the "Qualifying", "Race Events"
and similar sections, you don't need to make up data for that. If there is
no data in there though you will have to use "random" for your race position
in quick races. Make sure you change the values at the bottom for "Settings
Folder" etc.
4) Since most add-on tracks come from non-F1 mods, the fuel mileage
estimates have to be fixed or the AI will run out of fuel very quickly.
Open the .aiw file and search for the line "FuelUse". Note the value of
lap_length a few lines above. Multiply lap_length by 20 and use the
resulting value for FuelUse. It's not exact but it works.

Please excuse the hasty and not very detailed explanation, I'm in the middle
of doing some other things and didn't want to write up anything more
complicated. If you read the tutorial at the link above it should make
sense of what I just said. My quick and dirty method can be done in about 5
minutes and is all you need for AI racing. It does not allow you to create
separate season data, for that you will have to follow the tutorial. It
also does not add the track to your championship season, because I think
it's inappropriate and a bit of a waste of time to add non-F1 tracks to an
F1 championship season. Especially if, like many people, you don't actually
use the championship feature. It also may not be compatible with other
multiplayer conversions of the track, for that you really need F1RST2.
Anyway there it is. It's not as hard as it sounds once you figure
everything out. Enjoy.
