Although, I haven't found a solution for the server car staying on the grid yet. Bill, got an answer for that??? :-) |

OK, I've sussed it! In my case it has nothing to do with the plr file or the gbd. It is down to Ralph Hummerich's 2003 update. I think the single lap thing is hard coded there, because if I go back to the 2002 season, the number of laps is 12. Thanks anyway, Iain |

I did notice though that when I joined a server with those changes, I get a mismatch. ![]() |

I'm still glad you asked...<g I ran a test last night - 20 minute practice, 3 lap/15 min qual, 5 minute warmup. Beautiful! So, I can set those figures for the real race Sunday, and it will run efficiently even if I *don't* race in it myself. I don't have to hang around to kick the server to the next session. I haven't turned a lap at Suzuka since GP2, so I know I'm way off the pace... I'll probably just stay out of the way. |

Jeeze Eldred: Don't you like to race with us? If I'm there you probably won't be last. Allow Stability assist if you want. |

Anyone with a decent computer, that's not me, and a cable modem can host the number of cars we've been seeing. It's nice to have a fast host with a fast connection, but I don't know if it's worth having you wade a half an hour each way through swamps filled with carnivorous lizards in the blinding snow on Sunday morning to start a server for a race you aren't going to drive. |

I even tried to contact EA Sports for assistance. They were about as useful as a screen door on a submarine... |

Try contacting some of the ISI guys instead. Some of them hang out on different web based forums. Can't remember which ones, but Dave H. or somebody else can probably steer you in the right direction. Or you can go to their website and try the contact e-mails listed there. www.imagespaceinc.com if memory serves. |
