Indeed, I think GTL may be a witch. We should burn it. |

I don't know, unless you have some really sensitive, important stuff on your rig, using an AV program does more harm than good. Same goes with software firewall programs. I mean, the first thing to do if you're running an AV program in the background and you have problems with some software (a game or otherwise), the first thing to do is turn off the AV program and see if the problem persists. More often than not the problem will cease to exist, because you got rid of the problem when you disabled the AV program. Simply practicing smart (almost common-sense) email and internet usage will keep you out of danger. I think that in all my times of computing-- since 1986-- I had to call technical support once, dealing with my router (and not counting cable internet stuff). And during that time also I've had one virus. I'll take my chances, save some money, and rid myself of the headache and stay away from AV programs and firewalls (software). Alanb |

I have not had to disable my antivirus program in the last two years. A piece of software that requires you to disable antivirus is absolutely absurd and unacceptable in 2006. |
