Default Need rFactor Replay Converted to Video - 03-29-2007 , 09:29 PM

Is there any shareware or freeware that can convert an rFactor replay
into a digital video format file? I need to convert about a two
minute replay to video. I assume it will have to be something that
will grab the frames while the video is running in rFactor.

If you know of any software, or if you could convert the replay for
me, please let me know!

Thanks,
Pat Dotson

the game does that itself. Just hit the "export" button in the Replay
Fridge. you can choose what video codec to use by editing the following
line your PLR file.

AVI compressor fourcc="Divx" // Changes compression algorithm

as you can see, I use the Divx codec. the default line is
AVI compressor fourcc="cvid" // Changes compression algorithm

cheers

Thanks! I've never messed around with the replay functions before.
It seems to work pretty well. rFactor is exporting the replay as I
type this.

I've heard that fraps gives either faster or better results, but I've never
tried it.
