Default Thrustmaster 360 Modena Split-Axis problems - 01-15-2006 , 10:56 PM

Someone posted this with no solution last year, and I have the same
exact problem... wondering if there is any new solution. Thanks

<I have some problems with this wheel (usb, non-Pro).

I need to switch my pedals to split axis mode. I read somewhere else
that
I need that stupid buggy thrustmapper utility to be able to do this,
since
the standard windows control panel applet is unable to change anything.

Well I got my hands on that thrustmapper thingy, the setting was there,
nice, everything seemed to work, however, it didn't:\..

Now, (with the split setting on) everything but the gas pedal works
just
fine. BUT the gas is really screwed up.

If I don't touch it, and set the split axis, it is zeroed. When pushed,
it
jumps all the way up to 100%. When let go, it immediatelly falls down
to
exact 50%. Then, it keeps jumping between 50 and 100% if touched
anyhow.

I even posted a question at their support page, but no response so far.

I hope some of you people knows how to make this work.. because it
really
sucks. Thanks in advance. >

*HOW TO GET SPLIT AXIS TO WORK ON THRUSTMASTER 360 MODENA*

Thrustmaster, Thrustmapper, split axis, seperate axis, split mode,
combined mode, modena 360 pro

I recently installed thrustmapper 4.02. Split axis did not work
anymore. Here is the method to get it to work with Modena 360 racing
wheel:

- install thrustmapper 3.13
- install thrustmaster calibration utility from their website
(TM_CALIB_103.exe)
- set the calibration utility in thrustmapper as if it were a game
(Calibration.exe). Set it to seperate/split axis mode.
- now run the calibration utility. The thrustmapper logo should pop up
shortly.
- now you can magically calibrate the z-axis!! This works for games
were I previously was not able to effectively use the z-axis, because
the throttle would always be at "full speed".

Hope this helps you guys!
