Default What Id give for a SODA2 - 02-07-2005 , 12:28 PM

Just sittin here (hurt my fn back yesterday) watching the off road race on
Speed and it made me think back to SODA from Papy. That was really a great
Sim that they just dropped the ball with. I had a Rendition V1000 and it
played great but that left out the Voodoos which came on strong at the same
time. The track design aspect was GREAT and that I know of nothing else
has ever touched that part.

For all Papy's great titles though they sure did miss the mark a bunch of
times regarding guessing the new hardware standards

Imagine a Soda 2 with the RFactor engine, hmmm hmmm goood

Yeah it was an awesome game if you had the rendition card, which I still
have in the box with the cd of soda...

now it would be CORR or something right?

The best part is with the CPU speeds today it wouldn't take a month of
Sundays to calculate the AI for a custom track.

I'm still racing SODA. Trust me, it even takes a long time today to
calculate the AI <G>

Don't you think pop drinking contests are a little childish?

Check out Cross Racing Championship. Closest thing to SODA there is. I'm
really liking this game a lot. Very fun track with good handling and
physics if you set it up right. It's decent as a sim but not as good as
say RBR.
