For free?

RC means release candidate and not the version to be sold in stores.
It's been free to use for a long time and is good until March 2010.
That means they gave me a free OS to use for about 1 year, so yes,
free.

Ok, thanks for the info.

Is there any mandatory feedback? Is feedback made particularly easy?

Torrents most likely (assuming you've even *seen* W7). Besides it was a
*free* download for a working demo.

Another bozo for the bin methinks.

Working demo?? It's been available as a full version RC candidate
reelase for a long time now.
I referring there to the *game*. And mention of windows 7 is at best
conveniently coincides with his immediate POV and most probably outright
lying by a troll.

Liar...you were implying that I pirated Win7.
I've no idea whether you're right or wrong because a NFS:Shift-style blur had
descended upon this conversation a few posts ago. It is a shame though that this
group can never really hold itself together for very long without arguing about
something daft.

I guess that's why we're a shadow of our former selves... a quiet, angry little
backwater in an ocean of internet chatter.

It's the sim racing equivalent of Lost. ;-)

You've got to be kidding me, MacP.

I encountered following problems:

- image corruption issues in the 3D part with large parts of the screen
missing. I have to use the roll bar view to see where I'm going and even
then I'm taking righthanders blind (bit of an issue at LRP).

- for something which looks to have LFS-level graphics it runs like crap at
any sort of serious resolution

- force feedback oscillates out of control regardless of strenght/damping
setting.

A very poor effort as far as I can tell.

Jan.

I am clearly no longer a reliable source of opinion. :-)

I didn't have those problems, and with anisotropic filtering turned up (it's very
low at first) found it visually acceptable. It's not Shift, but then Shift doesn't
have such a satisfying physics model.
