Hi Just wondering if anybody has knowledge of how to determin what has been
dammaged by me filling the car up with the ignition on.. because since i
have done that, i don't get any readings on the gauge at all..

I have taken the back seat out and have found where the plug goes onto the
petrol tank. is there anyway to determine the state of the sender or the
gauge ?

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes. This might reset the buffer and
get it working again.
