Default a/c not working - 01-19-2006 , 12:25 PM






hey all am new to this group and a 1st time bmw owner jus bought a 98 e36
318 tourer fantastic car apart from aircon doesnt work, i was tolod when i
bought it that the system needed recharching, so i took it to have that done
and it was ok, the guy checked the compressor and there was no power to it
although it works, i dont know where the relay for the system is to get that
replaced, can anybody tell me please, i want it working before we get some
warm weather, hahaha if we do .

In the aac, it could be many things... find a mechanic that knows the car
and the ac, I spent a ton of cash this year on my 540 ac, part after
part..... it could cost you a lot.

You can't tell the compressor works without the (electric) clutch cutting
in to make it rotate. And the clutch won't work if the charge is low.

Find a new AC specialist - your one is taking the piss.

you can also send questions to germany they (must) know what it could be.
