Default A/C playing up. - 03-15-2007 , 10:28 AM

My A/C is on auto all the time. It has been set like that for the past
year with no problems.Suddenly it has started blowing hot air out of
the windscreen vent on the drivers side. The car is a 2000 540 and has
done 73K miles. Any ideas folks?

When it happened to my E46, the refrigerant was low because of a number of
leaks.

This is a common problem with the control unit. Search on ebay and you will
find ads that repair your unit and return it for about £15-£20. It's a
simple repair but you pay them for what they know.

Sir Hugh of Bognor
It sounds likely. How much does that cost to fix in the UK?
