I test drove a 2006 330i (sport package, premium package) last weekend and of course loved it. The sales guy "informed" me that BMW restricts engine output during the break in period and that once the odometer hit 790 miles, the full 255 horses would be available. He said the excellent performance I experienced during the test drive was at only approximately 215 HP. Now this is total BS, right? |

However, BMW would open themselves to massive litigation if limiting engine output in a critical situation was found to be the cause of an accident/death - even more so if this were not clearly stated on in the owner's manual. |
