Default E46 330Ci Ski Bag install? - 01-14-2004 , 07:27 PM

I have an E46 330Ci that didn't come with the ski bag. I noticed the
center back seat armest folds down and there's a metal door but it
doesn't seem cut out. Anyone know what parts are needed to get the
metal door to open (pass through)? I don't really need the ski bag
but it'd be nice to just get the passthrough to work with my own ski
bag. Just post here. Thanks.

I think you'll find the catch is accessed from inside your boot (or trunk if
you're an American). That's why BMW are one of the most secure cars around.

The catch is accessed from the back seat in an E46.

When You install the skibag You cut the metal cover out and replace it
with the ski bag frame and cover. Short of welding it back, this is
not reversible. You can't open and close the metal part, it's not a
door.
