Tested the fuel pumps, 30+ lbs and it holds the pressure well over 5 minutes Did you check the transfer pump separately? It should put out 0.3 bar / 4.3 psi. I had similar symptoms on my E24 and was skunked for a long time. I thought I could hear the transfer pump running when it was really the sound of the main pump telegraphed through the hose and body. Whe I disconnected the main pump, I heard the silence. If it is the transfer pump, it can be replaced with one from a '76 Chevy Vega, see http://www.unofficialbmw.com/repair_...sfer_pump.html . |
