Why would you want to move to Germany? I sure could use a dealership here in
Maryland with service writes who actually know about cars.

Hello all.

I'm an american looking to move to Germany in the next year or so.
I have an Associate degree in Automotive service from a tech
university
here in the States.
After 4 years of wrenching, i got out of the buisness to do some sales
work.
I like to do sales, I miss being around cars. I think I would be best
suited for a 'Service Writer' position.
Does anyone have any idea if it's possible for me to find employment
like this in Germany from here in North Carolina?

Greetings and Thanks.

Eric

My professor in college sat us down in class one day. He made sure that we
had no drinks or food in our hands and that all work had been done for the
day.
He said,
"Now boys, don't you forget this one important thing. There are always
more jobs down the street, that is why they put wheels on the bottom of your
toolboxes. So, you can roll 'em real quick into your truck!".

Richard,
I'm always interested in furthering my career in sales or in the
automotive buisness.
I am a fast talker but feel more comfortable with being an honest
talker.
I have several motives to move to Germany, the biggest is my fiance is
from there and she would like to live there if we can find a way for me to
make a living.
But, my fiance isn't too terribly happy where we are right now in
Hickory, NC. So, if I can't make it to Germany, maybe I can find my way to
Maryland.
Are you a dealer or private shop? If you are a dealer for whom? How
many bays in your shop? How many techs and service writers? How much did
your shop gross last year? In short, I would like more information.
I look forward to your reply.

Thanks.

Eric

Sorry if I was confusing, but I am just a customer at BMW and Benz dealers
and I am frequently angered by service writers who don't know anything about
the cars their mechanics work on.
