Can anyone advise what the risks are of putting some unleaded petrol into a
3 series Diesel????

Yes, after running Diesel Beemers for a few yrs, I "lost the plot" and
started filling with Unleaded.
The tank still had about 1/4 of diesel in it, and as soon as I realised I
stopped and put more diesel into, until full
I guess it's about 1/4 unleaded 3/4 diesel now!!!!

I drove about 2 miles to get home then decided to call a recovery to the
dealers. IS it likely to have caused damage?
BMW dealer says policy is to replace components affected to maintain a
warranty, cost about £3K !!!!!!!!

Grateful for thoughts / advice - other than reminding me what an idiot I
am!!! :-(
