Default Fake Right Side Exhaust Pipe for 1998 TA WS6 - 03-11-2009 , 10:29 AM

Can anyone point me to a source for a kit for a fake right side
exhaust pipe and tip to match the single exhaust pipe that came on my
1998 Trans Am WS6?

I just bought this car with 7000 original miles on it and want to fill
the right side indentation in the bumper cover with a fake pipe but
have no motivation (or need) to replace the original exhaust system to
accomplish this.

Thanks for any input.

I know this is a slighty dead thread here but the 1998 Trans Am
already had dual exhaust. The only F-Body (Firebird/Camaro) cars made
from '98 to '02 that had a single exhaust tip were the base model
Firebird and Camaro. The Camaro Z-28, SS, Firebird Formula and Trans
Am all came standard with the 5.7 Liter LS1 and dual tipped exhaust
(exhaust manifold to Y-pipe to muffler to two tips). If you only have
a single tip, either the exhaust system is aftermarket or broken, or
you have a base model Firebird with the WS6 "visual" package. The WS6
visual only added the hood, a couple other cosmetic parts and possibly
a stiffer suspension on the base model Firebird.

I would check with Brandon @ Maryland Speed.

If anyone can help, he can.

Care to argue about that? If so, do so here (as I don't enjoy
controversy. ): >> http://www.tripletransam.com/WS6/WS6_2000a.html <<
"The regular Trans Am exhaust for 1998 had two outlets with rectangular tips
filling in both cutouts (these cutouts are not present on the Firebird and
Firebird Formula bumpers, only the Trans Am). The high performance WS6 / Ram
Air exhaust system had only a single large outlet from the driver's side of
the muffler. The claim was that the WS6 exhaust system was too loud to pass
full power sound level restrictions with two outlets from the muffler, so
the decision was made to maintain the large high performance characteristics
of the system, but provide only one outlet from the muffler." >> Enjoy,
s
