What about the power wagon, from simon and simon... that should never
have been left out!
Hey... Speed Racer's Mach 5, anyone?

There have been modern live-action movie treatments of the Flintstones,
and now they're producing a live-action Jetsons movie.

A live-action version of Speed Racer is supposed to come out next year.
Cristina Ricci as Trixie, Susan Sarandon and John Goodman as Mom and
Pops Racer.

I think they should animate Speed though - No live actor could ever
capture his aura.
.... OR the cheesy 16 frame per second animation.

What about KITT?

It just HAS to be on that list

No, it doesn't. Another underpowered smogged-out 80s POS, not a real car
underneath. At least Rockford's firechicken could be had with a big-inch
v8. And I'm still trying to think of a Ford that's better than the
all-looks and no go 75 Torino on Starsky and Hutch.
Ummmm... Remember "Vega$" and Robert Ulrich's T-bird? Hell, if I
owned one, I'd keep it in my living room too! Ohhh... and remember
"Spencer for Hire" and his Mustangs?

More than half the cars on TV in the 60s and 70s were Fords, but like
you say all I remember are things like McGarrett's Mercs, Cannon's
Lincoln, and Hutch's beat-up LTD (and yeah, Starsky's Torino too), and
Uncle Jesse's pickup. But I'm sure I'm just forgetting something.

Sgt. Friday of Dragnet drove Fords. Fords were featured in "The FBI" as
well.
I seem to remember the L.A.P.D. cars of Dragnet (and Adam-12) to be
Dodge and Plymouth sedans...
