Default 1995 Ply. Grand Voy. -- Acceleration is rough - 06-26-2003 , 08:58 AM

as stated above, my van has a rouch acceleration -- rought accel only, it
gets going just fine, the van just shakes..

it doesn't matter if its cold or not, although its a little bit rougher at
cooler temps, otherwise its great at cruising speeds

- all new plugs and wires
- not sure about the gas tank or filter
- all new motor mounts
- new air cleaner
- visually the engine compartment looks GREAT

any ideas?

Drop the exhaust at the rear manifold. It will be noisy, but take the van
for a short test drive, and see hgow it runs. Chryslers are notorious for
having converters go bad. Another thing to check is pull the vacuum line
off the fuel pressure regulator. This is located on the fuel rail by the
injectors. If any liquid comes out, not matter how much, replace it. It is
going bad, and not keep the fuel pressure where it should be.

One word, Transmission, slipping on acceleration. Not that uncommon on the
wonderful Chrysler Tranny.
Disconnect your battery for 10 minutes or so then reconnect.
Then get on an open road with NO STOPS for at least 15 miles and try and
hold a steady speed
of between 30 and 45 MPH. If you notice any difference at all after doing
this, you need transmission repair ASAP.
