Default 1996 - 2000 strut tower corrosion - 09-16-2003 , 01:31 PM

I have a 1996 Grand Voyager with strut tower corrosion. Receiving quotes
from dealers in the 4500.00 range. Chrysler pleads the 5th and says "
Nothing we can do" I'm not asking them to pay for jack, just trying to get
an answer why the TSB 23-044-02 states Time Allowance of 15 hours, yet the
quotes are in the 4500 range (300/hr.)

Anyone here run into the same thing?
Did you get Chrysler to compensate you in some way?
If so, how?

Looking for guidance as I can not afford this bill yet OTOH I can not in
good conscious sell this vehicle given the safety concerns.

Thanks for your time
Regards,
John

man, i wish i had something to tell you on this....this is a big problem...
you might want to talk to your usual shop and tell them that you cant afford
it and if they do it, will you be able to pay them there money over time.
perhapse with a contract.... if your usual mechanic is like my father he
will see the situation you are standing in and help you out...

BTW: this is the soul reason i dont buy Dodge, Crysler, or Jeep products,
they do anything and everything to get out of standing by there vehicles.
Atleast this is how they treated me with my Voyager.. i got rid of it
within 6 months of owning it... IMO: nothing but problems and they dont
care...
