95 Lumina

hi all, have '95 lumina, 3.1; car sometimes shuts off when put in
reverse. will start and drive fine in 'drive'. bad catalytic
converter???
anyone hase any ideas as to what might cause this???

any info appreciated

Shuts off or stalls? If stalls check torque convertor solenoid.
