Default Bad gas mileage getting worse! - 01-10-2005 , 02:02 PM

2004 Nissan Quest, advertised at 19city/26hwy. Now I know this is under
ideal conditions, but I think actual mileage should at least be close to
this. I was getting ~16mpg a month ago when I complained to the dealer, and
he said it's because of the cold weather.. and relatively, it's not that
cold here in Portland, OR (30's-40's). It has now plummeted to 14.5mpg. Is
there ANYTHING they can do to improve this, or at least check out??

....unless you take many short trips. The first 1-2 miles of each trip (when
the engine is cold) in cold weather can be very hard on gas mileage.

Check the air filter and put the air back in the tires. And use a tire

also change your fuel filter, bad gas mileage can also be caused by
old filters
