| Is there a way to eliminate cigatette odors from the heating/cooling system of a car without taking out the duct work and washing it? Thanks Paul R. |

Thanks Paul R. Being an ex-smoker, I noticed a few things about clearning out the smoke smell from my car, and here's what worked for me. First of course stop smoking, but for the lingering smells, that you think are comeing from the vents could be coming from the carpets. Usually you don't smell the carpets, but with the vents on and moving around air, it stirrs up movement, so: 1. Clean your carpets. This can involve just a good vacuum and laying them out in the sun for a day or two. 2. Clean out your car. Find the most minnute ash, or tobacco and make it go away. 3. Crack all your windows, and leave the car in the sun. It worked for me. I could smell cigerette smoke when I got back into my car, so it gave me the impression it was being liberated from the materials. 4. Runn your fan on 'fresh air' and run it all the time, this should blow out old smoke smell. Now, i've used air freshners, but that only covered up the smell, not eleminated it.
