Hello Everyone,

My name is Brian and I'm new to this forum and not quite sure if this is
the appropriate place to ask my question. So here goes..

I just started a brand new site reagarding car donations and was wondering
if anyone has informaiton pertianing to the subject regarding taxes or to
the general subject whom wouldn't mind dropping a post or two to help
populate the boards? I'd greatly appreciate any amount of time you could
contribute.

Also, I'm looking for a couple of persons that would maybe like to
participate as moderators who would have a certian amount of control over

Where you take a $3000.00 car and donate it to a charity, so you can
get a tax deduction?
It would seem that this would only give you a real tax write off
value of $1000.00, depending on your bracket. The $3000.00 would go to
the charity, when they sell it, to make a profit on it. Of course, they
can write it all off, since they are a "charity"
Doesn't seem very fair. The smart thing would be if the charity
would buy it from you, wholesale. Then everyone, except the government,
would be happy...
