QUESTION: Reattach trim around wheelwell

Hey, all.

A friend of mine has a little import car with a thin strip of black
rubber trim around the outside of each wheelwell.

One of these strips is peeling away.

I could re-secure it by cleaning off the old adhesive and using epoxy,
but I'm not sure if that's the best choice. Nor am I sure it would
adhere to the clear-coat.

Is there a standard way of re-attaching such stuff? Some kind of
industrial-strength, double-sided tape, maybe?

There is a urethane bonding agent (2 part and used to repair the

flexible fachia bumbers) available at any auto paint supply place or
go there and ask them what they use. Alternately, you can clean up
the area, wash down with alcohol, and use "GOOP" available at any
auto parts store. GOOP is the almost the same stuff used to fasten
the stick on badges (make/model) and trim to car paint.

Okay, that sounds good - thanks!

The existing trim looks to have been attached with some kind of double-
sided foam tape. I'll give some of that a whirl first and see how long
it lasts.
