Default woke up 580 ponies out of my 2.2L GM ecotec engine. Question about transmition. - 03-12-2007 , 10:56 PM

this is the cavalier guy who has been discussing some weird ass engine
swaps which people have absolute objection to so I figured WTF I have
heard of them GM boys bringing some big ponies out of this thing so
why don't I give it a shot. The 2.2L ecotec that is. So here I am with
a 2.2L ecotec that I just had it dyno-tested in my brothers machine
shop. If you guys want to know how I did it I will tell you but I
really wanted to know if someone could suggest where I might be able
to find some kind of manual transmition for it. I have found some
automatics but I didn't really want that. I really want a clutch less
manual transmission, automated manual transmission, e-gear, or
paddle shift gearbox type transmition for accurate times at the strip.
Any suggestions?

Ferrari has an manual transmission with paddle shifters and an automatic
clutch. The system also matches the speed of the engine to the road speed
and gear the tranmission is in. Perhaps you can buy one of these at your
local Ferrari dealer.

You better yet, use the money for after-school programs at your local
school.
