I'm about to change the front springs on my Passat I checked to see what I need to do for the job and I note that the upper spring plate needs to set at 11 deg ± 2 deg. I assume that if I place a mark on the plate and other related parts with paint when I reassemble the strut as long as the paint marks are aligned then the upper spring plate will be set back to 11 deg ± 2 deg or will I have to make a jig of sorts to set this angle. |

A scratch is easier to line up, on both sides of the plate. |
