Default Citroen Synergie brake disk replacement - 10-04-2005 , 04:50 AM

According to my local MOT station, my front disks will need replacing before
next year's test. Any major gotchas in this job? How much should I expect
to pay for new front disks and pads. Any special tools needed?

TIA

TIm

Try this lot.

There are many variants of most cars, so Citroen Synergie may not be
suffiecient information to say, but pads are about £20 and discs about
£30.

Tim Downie (timdownie2003 (AT) obvious (DOT) yahoo.co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding
much like they were saying :

<grrr>
If they need doing, they need doing because they need doing, NOT just to
get you through the bloody MOT.

The MOT is a bare minimum, not a target highpoint.

Probably not, but the pistons probably need to be wound back to fit new
pads.

Disks - £23.50+vat
Pads - £24.50+vat

Clam down, they work and they're legal. The MOT station just pointed out
that they would need probably need attention before the next MOT. I'm not
going to go crawling about the brakes anymore than I have to so rather than
wait until the disks are worn to the point of *need*, I'll tackle the job
now.

The pads seems fairly straightforward but there seem to be three different
disks listed. What's the easiest way of determining which are the right
ones? Another (probably exceedingly stupid question), are disks priced per
pair or each (not that I would consider replacing just one).

Far too many people regard the MOT as all the annual maintenance their
vehicle needs, and a target to aim at once a year.

Good.

<sigh> If only GSF bothered to put a phone number on their website...

Try http://www.eurocarparts.com/ - their vehicle selection system should
pick the right one for you.

The brakeparts site does them as pairs.
