Tim Downie (timdownie2003 (AT) obvious (DOT) yahoo.co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying : According to my local MOT station, my front disks will need replacing before next year's test. grrr If they need doing, they need doing because they need doing, NOT just to get you through the bloody MOT. |

The MOT is a bare minimum, not a target highpoint. Any major gotchas in this job? Probably not, but the pistons probably need to be wound back to fit new pads. How much should I expect to pay for new front disks and pads. www.andyspares.com Disks - £23.50+vat Pads - £24.50+vat |

Clam down, they work and they're legal. The MOT station just pointed out that they would need probably need attention before the next MOT. |

I'm not going to go crawling about the brakes anymore than I have to so rather than wait until the disks are worn to the point of *need*, |

The pads seems fairly straightforward but there seem to be three different disks listed. What's the easiest way of determining which are the right ones? Another (probably exceedingly stupid question), are disks priced per pair or each (not that I would consider replacing just one). |
