Default mondeo mis fire help please - 04-03-2007 , 02:24 PM






hi we have a 98 mondeo which is very rough in idle and generally
around and below 1500 rpm, we have tested the maff replaced leads
plugs and coil pack and still no joy have been told its a possible
vacumm leak at the inlet manifold ne ideas how to test for this?

as your looking at the engine to the right of it there is a vac T-piece
just under the dis pack (coil) the t-piece either splits of collapses, worth
a look, or get a can of car cleaner and lightly spray around the inlet
manifold area whilst the engine is running, if the engine speed picks up you
more them likely have an air leak.

That's 'carb cleaner'. Turtle wax won't do it....

That's 'carb cleaner'. Turtle wax won't do it....

lol, opps well spotted, in my defence it was late ;o)

i can just imagine a can of turtle wax spray trying to be used !!!
