Default Question about DAEWOO NUBIRA cam - 02-28-2007 , 12:32 PM

Hi
Have been looking at a Nubrira LPG automatic and have been told the
car has a noisy cam, the seller says he has had it a while and the cam
noise has always been there, its a 1999 model, he does not know if the
belt has been changed but he seems to recall the previous owner said
it had, car has only done 60000 miles, any ideas what it could be??
dont want to buy it and it turn out to be an expensive repair.

Also have been told the car should do 40mpg is this about right??

Thanks in advance

40mpg...driving how ?? Doubtful anyhow...its an auto.

It's a recycled Vx Family 2 engine- replace the cam AND the followers.

More info would be good!

It comes with an in-date LPG certificate does it?

Tim..

I wouldn't buy a medium-high miler Mondeo auto, not unless it's had a
replacement box...

Isn't it only the 2.0? I thought the 2.5 V6 was OK.

Pete.
