Hi, a plea for help for my father's Vectra.

It's done a little over 50k for an S reg, and recently has been gulping
it's way through the oil supply with absolutely no obvious signs of
where it's going.

No blue smoke
Clean engine
No drip stains on the road

Anybody out there encountered this or have any ideas??

Your collective wisdom would be appreciated!

it is worn out and the cat is doing its job. Watch for smoke for the first
couple of miles (before the cat is hot)
