Didn't realise that the MK1 Golf GTi is still in production either!

Yep, tis true.
There is a company in the UK that can source you brand new "Old"
beetles.

LHD or RHD (more for the RHD).

Still uses the air cool flattie, but now fuel injected.

A new 'old' car. Interesting thought. And as for the mk1 Golfs...why? They
were good back in the day, but surely how much can you ask someone to pay
for old tech?

Yep, tis true.

Because they are sold with low power engines in poor countries, and for
in cities, when the the fuel quality isn't as good, or you only need a
basic car.
