Cheers Steve, I'm looking for something (if it exists) that would run
on veg oil and have power of at least 170BHP and torque of at least
270 lb ft. & 6 cylinder or more (I say looking, it's a purely
theoretical exercise is this, nowt else) - you got any idea what might
work?

Must it absolutely have six?

*thinking: Volvo D5 donk*
The D5 is a common-railer though. The older VAG I5 unit should be OK
mind.

Or the Isuzu 3.0 V6.

not necessarily, just the ability to run on veg oil and I'd like more
than 4 cylinders for 'extra smoothness'.

But its VAG. VAG use puppy nose leather for their interiors. Do you *know*
how many puppies they slaughter each year so people can enjoy their soft
touch dashboards?

Hi,

Anyone know if the bigger (3 litre) S6 and V8 BMW TDs can run on veg
oil? What sort of power & torque do they develop? Any links to the
relevant info would be gratefully received.

know idea but the 3litre jobby is the nuts! the 2litre is a bit poo
not had a V8 one didn't know there was?

2 litre engine is most definitely not poo.

Alpina D3 anyone?

he said BMW turbo diesels though not Alpina turbo dielsels
