Default Brake Fluid... - 05-15-2007 , 04:58 PM

Which is the brake fluid that is better than the normal stuff, but can go in
the normal system without any changes? Is that Dot 5.1?

Cheers :-)

Yep

Dot 5.1 has a higher boiling point yea? So if one was upgrading discs/pads
and considering fast road / track use (not the 206 heh) 5.1 fluid would be
the way forward?

Boils at 40 degrees C lower than DOT 5.1 apparently:

Indeed, motul RBF600 is "only" DOT4 as it's low temperature pourring point
is too high for DOT5.1 spec, however its boiling point is higher than most
DOT5.1 fluids.
