How is cricket possibly a manly sport? Fucking snooker is more exciting.

You just don't 'get it', mainly because you're a woman ;-)

Oh please, not liking cricket hardly puts me in a minority in this country,
even among guys...

How many other people in here enjoy cricket? Just as a matter of
interest...?

Rightyo fitting 18's on a 3 door Mk3 Golf

how much chopping is required?

Quite a bit

You sure ?
One of the lads at work has a lowered (diseasal) Golf sitting on 18"s...

Get the right offset, use a 35 prof tyre and control yourself on
selecting the width and the rolling radius should be about the same, if
not smaller.

So - what does it actually drive like then.....
Well, it's a Mk3 Golf at the end of the day so...

It was predictable we'd get stuffed at Croke Park - not least because
Ireland are a handy side, but also because of the history and emmotion
of the place. Losing to Italy, at home, is a disgrace, though.

We're use to it, England losing is just like a win to us anyway :-)

Cricket is shite.

As the quote goes; a sport the English deliberately invented to be so
complicated that none of our opponents would understand it, yet they
still kick our arses at it.
Complicated?!

What's 'complicated' about cricket?

The rules are nice and simple, especially when compared with the rules
in the choreographed entertainment the Yanks call 'sport'.

Wouldn't expect an online gamer to appreciate any real sport, though.

Never saw the point of a sport that can take several days to play and still
end in a draw.

Agreed, I much prefer something with a bit of tactics, strategy and
bucketloads of hand-eye co-ordination. I am quite partial to Snooker for
instance.
You've just described cricket, there....

Strange, I can't remember saying anything about whacking a stupidly
heavy ball into a crowd and then waddling down a grass field in white
clothes, and wearing body armour down my pants.
*sigh*

It's one of the most tactical sports you can play.

Besides, watching is fun - you sit around drinking beer all day in the
sun.
