Nice hectic weekend. Musical types might be interested to know Tom
Hingley was playing up here and stopped overnight - didn't get to play
any music but he seems like a really nice bloke.
Anyway, car-sort-of-things - finally got the oil changed on the Supra!
Yeay! It's leaking everywhere! Boo! Thanks to Toyota giving me too small
a compressible washer, I reused the old one. This has not proven to be a
success. So tomorrow, I get to get under the car again and have another
go. I'll free the brakes off too, I reckon.
The yard is clear for me to do this, because the Beetle I rescued a
while back has gone! For those what doubted the outcome, the bloke was
pleased I'd saved it, had been unable to get it fixed, and was going to
find somewhere to store it or give me the car, but some people asked me
if it was for sale today - result being that I told them who owned it,
showed them the car, and spoke to the owner again, and he got more than
he'd expected for it, gave me a cut as thanks, and everyone is happy.
And I've been playing with Satnav toys (HP iPaq HX and ALK
CoPilot/TomTom Nav 5 - CoPilot does 2-way tracking if you fancy keeping
tabs on your car via GPRS phone), and had to get new tyres on the
Scorpio because they were bald.
Cars on the horizon: Black, restored, C-plate Golf GTI Convertible.
Cars due for eBay: Both Seras, perhaps the Supra. No-one wants my cars.
Damn.
