You can't compare cars and bikes. If my RC car had 60bhp, it would waste
any motorbike. Not exactly a fair comparison. Like comparing apples and
dinner plates.
Yes i suppose the honda goldwing motorbike is heavier than my
citroen ax car.

erm... sportka is roofed. You're thinking of the streetka.

The SportKa is the roofed model.

FWIW, I looked at the figures and thought the SportKa was disappointing
on paper.

. My 314ft/lb doesn't arrive until 3600rpm, closely followed by
the 307bhp at 5650rpm ;-)

Whats it hauling???
Tin foil citroen.
or
Lead shed bmw.
Its 'hauling' an old shed of a Saab. MF900/2 as the stickers on the wings
say. It weighs in at 1230kilo's in road trim. Took around 2000 hours to
build with a good 1500 of those hours being development. Brakes are a one
off, Wishbones are a one off, Undertray is a one off, Chargecooling System
is a one off etc. etc. Hits the 6000rpm softcut in 5th which equates to
162mph. Not bad for a big 'ol sweedish barge.

Future plans involve, more carbon fibre, some titanium and finding a way to
bond honeycomb aluminium to steel.

Matt

It's not a chip as such, the ecu is reprogrammed via the
diagnostics
port,
so you can turn it on and off when you want. I'd go with nitrous
if
I
were
trying to get more power from my Ka though, AFAIK the chip gives
a
pretty
small increase in horsepower, whereas nitrous could give you an
extra
20
horses when you need it.

Wow!!!!! Eighty horsepower.

Strange the things these people who own these quaint little
underpowered
shopping trolleys get excited by.

80 horses is 33% more than 60 though, so I'd imagine it'd be pretty
noticable and handy for overtaking. Of course, Diesel drivers dream
about
having a whole horsepower, and being able to go above 2000 revs .

Why would you want to go over 2000 rpm when you have a big fat
220lb/ft
of
torque at 1900rpm. I want a CVT that will keep my engine at 1900rpm
all
the
time.

1900rpm, cool. My 314ft/lb doesn't arrive until 3600rpm, closely
followed
by
the 307bhp at 5650rpm ;-)

Well - I'll never have 307bhp, that's for sure. However a Jabba remap
promises around 185bhp and 300-320lb/ft of torque, still at a crank speed
just above tickover. Economy is currently around 39mpg, I wonder what the
impact would be on that.
Well on a recent outing I recorded a steady 7mpg, which is a little poor for
a 2litre 4cyl ;-). I guessing its a TD from the torque/HP, might not go fast
but you could happily pull a house down with that torque at those revs LOL

Streetka even. But then you don't buy this sort of vehicle for speed, if it
were that quick, who'd see you posing in it?

Yes. This is primarily because it has low gearing, on the road it feels
quicker than it should going on the raw data. No slingshot, though, but
then that's why Ford sell the Focus RS model (or, heh, the ST170 perhaps).

Most cars would be seriously wasted by that amount of horsepower
on a motorbike!!!
So ?

I believe the handling (or handerling, as it's known when referring to Mk1
MR2s) makes up for it.

Stig Blomqvist - not a man known for "underpowered shopping trolleys
(sic)" - rallied 60bhp Kas in the late 90's!!!
